Provence – near the town of Uzes, known as the Milano of Provence.
Sept 2—10, 2027
Join celebrated artist Jennifer McChristian for an unforgettable painting retreat in the heart of Provence, based near the enchanting town of Uzès — often called the “Milan of Provence” for its timeless elegance, artistic spirit, and beautifully preserved stone architecture.
Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, lavender fields, and breathtaking medieval villages, this immersive workshop is designed for artists seeking inspiration beyond technique alone. Together, we will paint in extraordinary locations throughout Provence, including bustling local markets, sun-drenched vineyards, and some of the region’s most iconic villages and landscapes that inspired generations of artists, including Vincent van Gogh.
The workshop’s purpose is not simply about tools or painting methods — it is about exploring and deepening your artistic identity. Through daily painting, conversation, observation, and connection, artists are encouraged to develop greater confidence, clarity, inspiration, and creative purpose.
Models will be available most days.
Suitable for artists of all levels and all media, from fearless beginners to seasoned professionals. Non-painting partners are also warmly welcomed.
This is Provence through an artist’s eyes — golden light on limestone villages, winding cobblestone streets, vibrant markets, vineyards stretching into the distance, and the quiet beauty that has inspired painters for centuries.
