This is the perfect opportunity to paint alongside fellow artists and spend 8 enchanting days immersed in the lush, green beauty that has made Ireland famous. The retreat offers an inspiring escape to a land of rolling hills, sparkling lakes, and centuries-old sites — the perfect setting to refresh your artistic spirit.
Our home base is a small estate found near Killarney National Park, a jewel of natural and historical treasures. Just outside our doorstep lie some of Ireland’s most iconic sights: the breathtaking Ring of Kerry, the dramatic mountain pass of the Gap of Dunloe, and the serene Lakes of Killarney. You’ll find yourself surrounded by landscapes so vivid and timeless they seem made for painting.
We’ll explore charming villages and ancient castles, walk through mossy forests, and paint the rugged beauty of the Irish countryside. Along the way, you’ll feel the deep cultural heritage of Ireland — a land where art, music, and storytelling are woven into the fabric of everyday life.

Your itinerary includes visits to local markets, scenic drives around the Ring of Kerry, and plein air sessions at stunning landmarks like Muckross Abbey and Ross Castle. We’ve chosen locations where you’ll have easy access to our vehicles, materials, and cozy cafés. Bring your camera and sketchbook — you’ll be truly inspired by the emerald landscapes and atmospheric light, and you’ll want to capture references for your studio work back home.
After dining together in our manor, we take up various painting-related topics for discussion and demos. Although the workshop is not instructed, when painting side-by-side with other artists, you’ll leave the retreat with stronger skills and lifelong connections. Price is $5,500, based on double occupancy. Single rooms are available. Airfare is not included. Discounts available for spouses or partners (painting or non-painting.)
