We invite you to come to France’s Côte d’Azur for one of our most unique workshops to date. Under the expert guidance of instructor Zoey Frank, we will work from live models inside the chateau and on the grounds of the estate, taking advantage of the spectacular local environment. We will focus on how to create strong compositions by building space through value structure and color relationships. We will discuss how the figure can either function as the focal point or be subdued to fit within an overarching motif. Zoey will offer personal instruction to guide and strengthen your work, whether you’re a fearless beginner or a consummate professional.
Zoey Frank continues to make ripples in the art world with her fresh take on contemporary representational painting. Painters are paying attention to the way she brings realism, abstraction, and design together on the canvas. Working with Zoey in this 9-day workshop offers a chance to improve your painting skills in an inspiring environment where painting and developing ideas become part of daily life.
Guests will stay in a vineyard chateau, a beautifully kept estate with inviting accommodations that reflect the ease and charm of la belle vie found in the South of France.
Just 40 minutes north of the Mediterranean you can enjoy local bustling villages, delicious cuisine, and that famous light that spills over vineyard landscapes and tree-lined avenues. You will meet our in-house chef who will spoil you with her fabulous meals. If you need your meals tailored for dietary needs, she will happily accommodate them.
To enhance your time in France, there are excursions to Aix-en-Provence where you can enjoy some retail therapy in open-air markets, and to one of the region’s most iconic fishing ports where you can delight in the colors and sounds of the Mediterranean coast.

About Zoey Frank
Zoey Frank is widely regarded as one of the leading voices in a new generation of figurative painters working today. She studied with Juliette Aristides at the Classical Atelier in the Gage Academy of Art, and went on to receive her MFA from the Laguna College of Art and Design.
Among significant recognitions, Zoey Frank has received:
